Sarah Betty Scott was born in Wrightsville, GA on December 23, 1934 to the late Sarah Francis Christian and Arthur D Francis.  They relocated to Dania, FL in 1942 where she attended school, made lifelong friendships and later started a family.

As an adult, Sarah was proud to work as a nurse’s assistant at Memorial Hospital in the Labor and Delivery Department. She purchased her first home in March 1966 where she lived until moving to St. John’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Catholic Hospice Inpatient Care Center in 2021.

Sarah loved to cook and took great pride in hosting family gatherings.  Her favorite saying was “one monkey don’t stop the show”. She lived her life adhering to that saying by always finding a way to persevere through tough times and provide for her children.  Her strength and determination was evident in how she loved her family and lived life. Sarah was a nurturer, she had a generous heart and a wonderful sense of humor.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Gwendolyn Scott and her brother, Arthur Francis.

Sarah leaves to mourn, her children; Jacquelyn Legros (Yvon), Malachi Scott, Jeffrey Scott, Victor Scott (Althea), Xavier Scott, Tonya Yancy (Allen) and an adopted daughter, Ranae Lowe (Gregory); three sisters, Mary Baldwin, Eva Francis, and Ollie Thomas (Anthony); a host of grand and great grand-children, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
